*Early Bird Registration Runs from February 1-March 31, 2012*
At the Explorer's camp, we will be doing just that; exploring farm life!
Campers will tend and learn about our friendly farm animals, harvest veggies in the
garden, play games, make crafts, swim and investigate the local Swift River and have hands
on experiences to learn about the Native Americans and settlers who lived in the area. On the
last day of camp, we invite family and friends to our Remick Country Fair where campers will
showcase their accomplishments of the week, perform skits and play traditional fair games!
At Remick Summer Camp, we strive to make a community of friends that will connect the
traditions of the past in order to make a self sustainable present.
Pioneer Camp at the Remick Museum is an in depth and hands on experience all
about what life was like on the farm long ago. Campers will learn traditional crafts such
as candle making, woodworking, wool dying and leather working. They will learn about local
Native Americans and early settlers, become skilled at basic survival skills, tend to farm animals
and discover the fascinating natural world that the Remick Museum has to offer! An optional
overnight, will provide campers with an opportunity to use their newfound survival skills!

The Homesteaders at the Remick Museum will learn the necessary skills that early settlers
needed to start their farms and provide for their families. Campers will try their hands at
woodworking, hearth and outdoor cooking, survival skills, wool working, weaving, caring for farm
animals and exploring the natural world. There will be an optional overnight where campers will
make food using produce from the garden, stargaze and go on a night time exploration in the dark!
