UNPLUGGED VACATION WEEK FUN

“Pop In” for Discovery Days

MON., FEBRUARY 25–FRI., MARCH 1, 2019

Enjoy unplugged family time at our historic homestead! 
Gather up the family and join us at Remick Museum & Farm for some historic fun. Each day, Monday through Friday, we offer ways for you to “pop in” and spend quality time together. Enjoy self-led explorations from 10AM–4PM, Monday–Saturday, and plan to join us for the day’s scheduled activity. [WEEK 1 of these activities takes place Feb. 18–22.]

MONDAY | Nocturnal Creatures Scavenger Hunt
Travel along the Binsack trail at your own pace to learn about some of the nighttime creatures that can be found around the farm. Pop in for this activity from 11AM–12:30PM.

TUESDAY | Old-World Food vs. New-World Food: Presentation & Trivia
Do you know where your food comes from? Learn about foods and their journey to your plate and play a fun, food trivia game. Pop in for this half-hour activity with start times at 11AM
 and 12PM.

WEDNESDAY | Herbal Moisture Bar Activity
Pop in for this herbal learning activity that starts at 11AM
 and ends at 12:30PM (full time required to complete this project).

THURSDAY | Cows, Cream and Making Butter
How does delicious cream make its way into our food? Learn how then master the steps to making butter. Pop in for this half-hour activity with start times at 11AM
 and 12PM.

FRIDAY | Make a Woven Bookmark
Pop in for this hands-on activity that takes place from 11AM–12:30PM.


COST: $5 pers
on; FREE for children 4 and under.
Admission includes access to the entire Museum & Farm. 
No pre-registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult, not left unsupervised.
