New series! Herbal DIY Workshops

From garden to medicinal helper, food or remedy!
Join museum educator/herbalist Carol Felice as she walks you through the DIY (do-it-yourself) steps of making your own herbal products and foods in order to easily bring herbal medicine into your life.

1 | Saturday, July 7: Harvest, Dry & Infuse
You will practice the secrets of successful harvesting and drying, make and taste infusions, and take home plant materials and a thorough printed guide. Registration closes Monday, July 2/when filled.

2 | Saturday, August 11: Tinctures, Oils & Salves
You will harvest medicinal plants from the Remick gardens and make a tincture (extract), an infused oil, and a salve to take home, along with a thorough printed guide. Registration closes Monday, August 6/when filled.

3 | Saturday, September 15: Cooking with Herbs ~ Pestos & More
This is not about sprinkling a few aromatic herbs on your meat and potatoes. At the close of this workshop, you will be well nourished, have recipes in hand, and will have experienced creating foods from many delicious plants not found in a store. Registration closes Monday, September 10/when filled.

Cost: $40 members; $50 non-members
These sessions are suitable for adults and students ages 16 and older. Held outside in both the gardens and under shelter, rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and varied terrain; call to discuss accessibility needs. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Call 603-323-7591 to reserve your spot.
