EATING OUR WAY THROUGH HISTORY

Where in the World Did Our

Food Come From?

THURSDAY, JUNE 13 | 7–8PM

____________

Learn about history and eat it too.
Explore how some of our favorite foods traveled across the globe before arriving on our plates. History, geography, economics, and politics all come into play during this visual, interactive and fascinating talk.

  • Join in a friendly game of food-geography trivia
  • Mill dried corn into cornmeal
  • Taste samples of cornbread and apple cider
  • Includes a take-home cornbread recipe from the Remick-Made Cookbook

This presentation is part of our “Historically Speaking: Eating Our Way Through History” series. Each “taste and talk” includes food and/or beverage samples and a hands-on activity related to the subject matter. This series takes place in the museum’s climate-controlled Hearth Room and is led by Museum Educator June O’Donal.

COST: $3 for members, $5 for non-members.
Pre-registration is appreciated, call 603-323-7591.
