Quite a bit! \nWhile maple sugar production is still months away\, autumn offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the science behind the sugaring season. Join us for a stroll around the Remick farmstead as we discover the vibrant foliage of our maple trees and learn what’s happening inside the trees as they prepare for winter. \nAlong the way\, we’ll explore the science behind the annual leaf-change phenomenon and look ahead to the conditions that will bring us back to the Remick sugarhouse next spring. \nCome for a guided ramble and discover the seasonal story of maple trees at Remick!\nOffered Thursday–Saturday at 11:00 a.m.\, September 24–October 10. \n\nRemick-made maple syrup is available for sale in the museum store in a variety of sizes and containers\, including holiday designs (sampling pictured). Discover the stories behind familiar Halloween symbols\, including the popularization of the black cat. \nAnd there’s more to explore throughout the museum: \n+ Learn how herbal traditions influenced the development of modern medicine. \n+ Discover some of New Hampshire’s more frightening tourism destinations. \n+ Delve into the literary and cinematic history of Halloween horror. \n+ Upstairs\, Doc and Marion Remick’s apartment offers a nostalgic look at Halloween decoration styles and entertainment popular in the mid-20th century. \nOutside: \n+ Make your way along the Pumpkin Path on the Binsack Trail. \n\nFREE \nAll ages\nPreregistration is not necessary. \n\nADDITIONAL OCTOBER EXPERIENCES \nHaunted History Tours\nAll month long\, Haunted History with the Drs.
