DESCRIPTION:The patent medicine era (mid-1800s–early 1900s) was wrought with fraud and dangerous products that\, in part\, led to many of the regulations we know today for our food and medicine. But did you know that some of these patent medicines are still used\, and even beloved\, today? Learn about the history of some of this era’s dubious elixirs\, tonics\, and potions as we taste our way through modern reminders of this notorious time. \nDuration: 45-60 minutes \nFREE for members | $5 suggested donation for non-members\nAges 16 and above; ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. *To ensure adequate supplies\, preregistration for this program is appreciated but not required.
