Make a Historical Connection...
Marion Remick, Dr. Edwin C. “Doc” Remick’s wife, was an active member of the Tamworth Garden Club (TGC) from the 1940s to the early 1960s, and often hosted meetings in the dining room of the modest apartment where she and Doc lived. At Christmastime, members of the TGC would gather there to make garlands and other Christmas favors to donate to the VA hospital in White River Junction, VT and the Naval medical Center in Portsmouth, NH. Be sure to visit the apartment while here for the class!
