GENTLE, FARM-BASED LEARNING TIME
Young Farmers
SATURDAY: ONCE PER SEASON | 10–11AM
____________
Introduce your young child to the wonders of the farm!
Created and led by Program Manager/Educator Jim Cruickshank, our Young Farmers gathering is held one Saturday each season and is for children ages 3-5. Participants explore the historic Remick farmstead by focusing on a seasonal theme. Most lessons include time outside, a hands-on learning activity, and/or a story.
- Each gathering features discovery through the senses and hands-on activities.
- Group interaction encourages a deeper understanding of each subject.
- Each gathering primarily takes place outdoors in rain, snow or shine: participants should be dressed for the day’s weather and farm conditions underfoot.
- This is not a drop-off program: caretakers should be prepared to be with the group and participate.
- Class size is limited and may be impacted by the class topic; early registration is encouraged.
Cost: 1 student & 1 caretaker: $12 total | $10 for members
Cost for additional student(s)/caretaker(s): $5 each.
Designed for students ages 3–5.
Pre-registration is required by 3PM the Friday before each gathering date; we cannot accommodate walk-ins.
Call (603) 323-7591 to register.

The changing colors of leaves is the surest sign of fall in New England. Participants will have a chance to explore the vibrant colors of the farm while we learn about why things are changing and how that impacts the agriculture on site!
