THE HOME & WORK SPACES OF DOC REMICK

The Extended Remick Country Doctor

Medical History Tour

TUESDAY–SATURDAY | 1PM | PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED

____________

Enrich your Medical History Tour by starting in Doc’s modest apartment.
Witness the juxtaposition of Doc Remick’s modest living quarters and the location of the medical office space he shared with his father.

The father-and-son duo of Dr. Edwin Remick and Dr. Edwin C. Remick served the local and surrounding communities as physicians for a combined 99 consecutive years, all based from their medical practice on the Remick Museum property. Feel as though you’ve stepped back in time during this afternoon tour of both the 2nd-floor apartment (located in the Main Museum) Dr. Edwin “Doc” C. Remick shared with his wife, Marion, and the medical rooms at the Captain Enoch Remick House, which served as the main office for both doctors during this near-century of medical practice. Tour includes stories and memories, as well as glimpses of the medical equipment and manuals for both Doctors Remick. Tour length: 60–90 minutes.

Note: The apartment is not accessible by wheelchair.

Cost: $10 | $8 for members
Ages 12 and over (ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult).
Preregister at the front desk 30 minutes prior to tour start or by calling (603) 323-7591. Space is limited, we suggest calling ahead to ensure a spot.
