Fall Foliage & Maple Sugaring
What can the colors of fall tell us about maple sugaring? Quite a bit!
While maple sugar production is still months away, autumn offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the science behind the sugaring season. Join us for a stroll around the Remick farmstead as we discover the vibrant foliage of our maple trees and learn what’s happening inside the trees as they prepare for winter.
Along the way, we’ll explore the science behind the annual leaf-change phenomenon and look ahead to the conditions that will bring us back to the Remick sugarhouse next spring.

Remick-made maple syrup is available for sale in the museum store in a variety of sizes and containers, including holiday designs (sampling pictured). Available while supplies last.
