A Partnership Event with THE ARTS COUNCIL OF TAMWORTH
Get Inspired.
Get Creative.
Get Stitching!
Do you have a sewing machine collecting dust? Want to revive your sewing skills or just enjoy some creative time with fellow makers? Maybe you’ve been collecting a pile of items to repair or pants that have been needing a hem job. What about that creative costume you’ve been planning?
Join instructor Gail Williams in the Hearth Room at Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm for a fun and relaxed workshop where you can explore creative sewing ideas and projects using recycled denim, plus your own imagination.
What to Expect:
+ Bring your sewing machine or just bring yourself!
+ Basic machine threading will be reviewed for anyone who needs a refresher.
+ Prefer to hand stitch? That’s absolutely welcome too!
+ A stash of denim jeans will be available to repurpose – or bring your own ideas and materials!
+ A small, finished item to take home with you by the end of the workshop, such as an ornament, pin cushion, or tote bag.
No experience necessary – just a desire to sew, create, and have fun. Let your creativity flow and leave with something uniquely you!
