Doc’s Dairy & Harness Horse History Tour

June 24 | 11:00 am - September 4 | 11:00 am

WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY | 11 AM — Holsteins and horses were beloved by the Dr.’s Remick. This is most evident in the collections of the younger doctor, Dr. Edwin “Doc” C. Remick (1903-1993), and his personal history with dairy farming and harness racing. Take a guided walk on the farmstead grounds to visit the historic cattle barn, milk house, and horse stable, to learn about harness racing in New England, the equine history on the property, and the commercial dairy that operated on-site for 30+ years! NO TOUR JULY 24.

Tour includes structures on the New Hampshire Barn Tour and an interesting detail about the property’s tie to the Civilian Conservation Corps company that served the town of Tamworth, Company 117 (S-53).

Note: This tour will focus on the history of Holsteins and horses on the farmstead, as neither is being raised on-site at this time.
