Medical History Tour at the Captain Enoch Remick House
June 23 – October 10
TUESDAY–SATURDAY | 1 PM — Dr. Edwin Remick (1866-1935) and Dr. Edwin C. Remick (1903-1993) — a father and son duo of country doctors — served their local hometown of Tamworth for 99 consecutive years from what is now the Remick Museum site. Step back in time during your guided tour of the medical rooms where both country doctors met with patients during their combined, nearly century of medical practice, all housed within the stately Captain Enoch Remick House (on the National Register of Historic Places).
Visit the original waiting area, triage and examination rooms, and apothecary. The tour includes stories, memories, and examples of medical equipment and manuals of both doctors.
The exterior of the Captain Enoch Remick House is being renovated and repainted (completion: May 2026), securing its longevity for generations to come. If you appreciate the public value historic structures provide, and wish to donate to this project, you can donate here or during your tour or museum visit. Thank you!
